Celebrating Labor Day - 2020!

Welcome to the Dove Direct Print and Marketing Blog.  Today's post, "Celebrating Labor Day - 2020," serves as a reminder of all we have to be thankful for, including a heartfelt thanks to our readers, partners, vendors, associates, and staff for their continued hard work and support that lifts us all. 

 We support and thank all the first responders and medical support staff.  We appreciate the epidemiologists, virologists, doctors, vaccine specialists, emergency medical technicians, and scientists worldwide battling this pandemic. Without them, hope dwindles, and the vision for a treatment or cure will not come to fruition.

Labor Day typically represents the demarcation point for wrapping up 3Q and finalizing that last push into 4Q.  It also is a point that brings family and friends together to celebrate the year, and of course, a period where relaxing and resting takes place before that fourth-quarter push!  Alas, all work and no play makes Jack dull.  So, we are taking a break to get some rest and taking time to reflect.

Speaking of reflection, we send our condolences to all who have lost family, friends, co-workers, or neighbors to the ravages of COVID-19. Moving forward, we must heed the scientific guidelines put forth by our local healthcare administrators and providers.  Wearing a mask when out of the home has proven to lower risk and save lives.  Wearing a mask is patriotic.  The guidelines for wearing a mask result from scientific data supporting the statement that you are protecting others and yourself by wearing a mask.  Therefore, we should respect all and wear a mask, whether or not someone else decides to wear a mask.

By the way, sometimes a warm hug makes all the difference and can soothe the soul. Therefore, we are sending warm hugs to everyone, with the notion that yes, things will get better, and we will be ok.   Pandemic or not, we encourage everyone to celebrate this Labor Day weekend.  We understand and sympathize with those who may feel otherwise.  That said, we are looking to and embrace a brighter, safer future and work towards making that happen.  We beat the 1918 Pandemic, and we will conquer this pandemic.  It is up to all of us to remain diligent, work together, and support each other.  Thanks for being a loyal reader and supporter of Dove Direct.  May you and yours have a wonderful Labor Day Weekend!
